Vertas is looking forward to welcoming you to Suffolk County Council’s Endeavour House and The Hold. The day will focus on sustainable solutions, making the difference through facilities management.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Students and those looking to understand more about the multiple career options that facilities management (FM) can offer and learn about how we put sustainability at the core of our operational solutions.

Business professionals and school business managers and CEOs to network and explore how our broad range of FM services are delivered in a sustainable way whilst continuing to make the difference to our clients and communities.

AGENDA

10:00 – 14:00 An interactive and engaging event for students showcasing our multiple FM services. Hosting a range of hands on activities demonstrating our innovative ways of working, our approach to Net Zero 2030 target, use of digital technology, and much more.

This event will be held at Endeavour House and divided into two sessions, 10:00 to 12:00 and 12:00 to 14:00. Although some food tasting will be available, students will need to bring their own packed lunch.

16:00 – 18:00 An informal business networking session at The Hold to celebrate the day and demonstrate our local sourcing and sustainable working practices that we utilise across our FM services.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO SEE?

Throughout the day students will find fun and interactive activities, showcasing the best that facilities management has to offer. From using the latest technology with our security business to creating social media content with marketing, students will begin to understand the breadth of roles available in one of the UK’s fastest growing sectors.

For our informal business networking session, businesses and school managers and CEOs will learn how we can work together to create a more sustainable region, using local resourcing to really invest in the area around us.

SCHOOLS

We’re inviting students in year 10 and above, interested in exploring a wide range of careers to come to our open day, where they’ll get the chance to:

  • Meet people from all areas of Vertas’ business – from marketing to catering, security to cleaning
  • Take part in fun competitions
  • Eat some delicious food
  • Find out what a career in facilities management can offer
