Current students, at schools (year 10 and above), colleges, and universities, who are looking to work for a company with global, diverse, and exciting career opportunities.

What are you going to see and learn?

The Financial Solutions industry is much more than number crunching. You will gain an insight into how varied, exciting and challenging our work can be.

You will meet with some of our WTW business leaders, sharing their insights into WTW, and also meet with some of our current and past apprentices.

There will be opportunities for networking and Q&A sessions, but also some more detailed insight sessions in some key business areas, such as Claims and Broking.

You will gain an understanding of the size and scope of WTW, the benefits of working for a diverse, large global business, and also learn about how important our values are to us.

Of course, we will also have lunch available, and you will be able to see around the iconic, award winning WTW building.

This is what we are planning

10.55 hrs:  Careers and Opportunities

This will be a session with our Young Professionals Network.  It will look at careers within WTW from a young person’s perspective.  This session will be run by members of the YPN, many of whom were past apprentices themselves.  It will look at their career journey so far.  It will also include a video by one of our high achieving young people who has recently taken the opportunity to work and live in Canada for WTW.

11.35 hrs:  Business Insight – Broking

This session will talk through the placement journey of a risk and will include a 5 minute interactive session to cover the sort of things that an underwriter needs to consider.  How WTW arranges the placement and a short video from a broker who works in the Lloyd’s Insurance Market in London.

12.15 hrs:  Lunch and Expo

We will serve a delicious lunch and over lunch there will be an opportunity to visit the 4 stands in our WTW Expo,  covering our Apprenticeship Programme, WTW’s involvement in the Community (CSR), our Young Professionals Network and a Q&A stand where the students can ask questions of representatives from our Claims/GB Retail/Transportation/Cyber/A&S business units.

13.00 hrs:  Business Insight – Claims

Will include lots of examples of interesting real life insurance claims that WTW has had to deal with.

13.40 hrs:  WTW Careers in Corporate Businesses

A speed networking session (10 minutes each) with representatives from IT, Sales and HR, Finance and Facilities covering the very wide variety of roles available at WTW (non-insurance related).

14.25 hrs:  An interactive Quiz to end the day (with a prize)! 

Questions will be asked about key things that have been mentioned/covered during the day.

15.00 hrs:  Informal networking and close. 

Schools

We’re inviting students in year 10 and above, from Schools, Colleges and Universities, interested in exploring careers at WTW.

This is great opportunity to meet senior business leaders and other young people at WTW. As a Global Business with a country head office in Ipswich, we have a wide range of careers and opportunities on offer.
